Ohio Township Association Annual Conference 2012

Another year has come and gone as well as the township trade show which was held at the Columbus Convention Center. There was a big turn out this year as there is every year and - - THE OHIO CEMETERY ASSOCIATION was there to promote our organization.

We had a booth along with seven other death care organizations and we all found that, YES, there is an interest from the townships to learn from us about how to better take care of their townships cemeteries.

We were giving away free 2012 OCA memberships to any township wishing to take advantage of this offer. I am proud to say that we have nineteen new members from all around the great state of Ohio. We, the OCA Board members, will be personally calling each new member & welcoming them to our great association & inviting them to attend our events this year.

The first event will be our Annual Convention & Field day August 13th, 14th, & 15th at the Embassy Suites in Dublin, Ohio.

In early October we will be hosting two Field Days, one in northern Ohio at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. The other will be held in the southern part of the state at Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum in Cincinnati. They will be a day apart so that suppliers and members who wish to attend both will be able to do so. More information regarding dates, etc. will be coming shortly.

As always, the OTA Trade Show was a good event to be involved with to promote our association. To all the OCA board members that helped at the booth to answer questions from the townships and also promoted membership in our association... I wanted to say THANK YOU !
