It is with heartfelt sympathy that we share the passing of Robert Alexander McConneghy, III, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the age of 73.

A third-generation cemeterian, Bob devoted his life to the profession. He began his career at Sunset Memorial Park & Crown Hill Cemetery and went on to serve as Vice President. In 1986, he was recruited to lead pre-need sales for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, where for nearly three decades he mentored and inspired hundreds of sales professionals.

Bob was an active leader within the ICCFA, serving as the youngest member elected to its board at the time, and later as faculty at numerous conventions and Sales Management Schools, including ICCFA University. His leadership and mentorship left an enduring mark on the profession and those he guided.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karin, his sons Robert IV and Chad, and his cherished grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, from 2:30–4:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park’s Westwood Abbey Mausoleum in North Olmsted, Ohio, with a funeral service immediately following.
