In Memory of Rufus Slade

Woodland Cemetery & Arboretum is saddened to share the passing of Rufus Slade, a retired member of our Woodland family.

Rufus served Woodland with dedication and pride for more than 35 years. His work helped care for these historic grounds and supported our mission of honoring families with dignity, compassion, and respect.

We are grateful for Rufus’s many years of service and for the lasting mark he left on Woodland. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, former coworkers, and all who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Rufus. You will always be remembered as part of Woodland’s story.

Rufus served as the OACS&O President in 2015 and for many years on the board.
