Please join us for a time set aside for You. We hope that you will allow us to assist you through this difficult time and allow Grief Specialist, Sheila Munafo-Kanoza guide you on your journey from Grief to Peace. These monthly gatherings allow you to spend time with others who understand what it means to lose a loved one.

Grief to Peace will be held at Spring Grove on the third Tuesday of each month. On the fourth Tuesday of each month, gatherings will be held at the Tri County location. The meetings begin at 5:45 PM at both locations. You are welcome to join us at either of our funeral home locations. A light snack will be provided.

Woodland is one of the city’s best places to watch birds. The lush greenery and many secluded spots make it an ideal location for birds to nest and lay their eggs. It is home to both native species and other birds that pass through during their migration. Join us for a 2 hour walk throughout the cemetery looking for seasonal and Ohio native birds. Nature guide Amanda Lawson will conduct the tours and discuss the many species of birds found at Woodland. A pair of binoculars and a camera are all you need. History, Mystery, Mayhem and Murder Tours

A touch of history with mystery includes the life stories of inventors, bank robbers, counterfeiters and murderers. Please note that this tour may be deemed a strenuous walking tour and is not recommended for children, the elderly or those who may have trouble walking long distances through hilly and uneven grassy areas.

Enjoy a Spring day in an historic cemetery learning the proper techniques of cemetery restoration and repair ~ identifying, cleaning & repairing grave markers. We are exceedingly pleased to have Jonathan Appell of Gravestone Conservation, West Hartford, CT, leading our workshop. Jonathan has decades-long experience in cemetery and historic masonry restoration and an appreciation for NCPTT guidelines. Topics covered will include how to re-set stones, repair fragmented stones, use of appropriate repair materials, methods of using infill materials, and cleaning and re-pointing masonry.
